Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 included the revert, a trick that allowed vert combos to be tied together manually by tapping a button when landing in a quarterpipe; this allows for far longer combos than in the previous two games, when landing in a quarterpipe would complete a combo.
It also included hidden combinations. These were variants on conventional tricks that could be executed as grab, flip, lip, or grind moves. For example, double-tapping the kickflip button causes the character to perform a double kickflip. This system was later enhanced in Pro Skater 4.
