Developer’s Description
If you are doing development with outlook object model, you may have seen the message box with message like this “a program is trying to access e-mail addresses you have stored in Outlook”. The dialog requires to click the button on the dialog manually. This is very annoying when what you need to do is to make an automatic mail with outlook. The reason behind it is that outlook has secured its object model in order to avoid malware to use outlook to send emails. For example, when you want to access the email address field of mail item, it may pop up the alog below: When you want to send email with mail item Send method, it will show the dialog as below: All these dialog will make automation on outlook impossible because the dialog needs human operation. So is there a programatically way to skip these dialog in your automation program? Now it is easy to disable the warnings with our Outlook Security Component. It is an ActiveX component which means you can drop it easiy to your VB, Delphi or .Net application, then you should be able to use outlook by pass the annoying security warnings.
Follow the instructions of the Setup Wizard to configure installation settings for the Microsoft Outlook Add-in. The installation process can be stopped at any step of the wizard. To do so, click the Cancel button in the Setup Wizard window.

ISSUE
When opening an attachment directly from Outlook you would see an error about unable to create the file and you need check the permissions on the folder you want to save it in.
In most cases the permissions on the folder isn’t the issue but the fact that the folder is “full”. When you open an attachment directly from within Outlook it will first save a copy to a sub folder of the Temporary Internet Files folder hence throwing the error.

Check your server versions before starting. These instructions are for Exchange Server 2013 and 2016, running on Windows Server 2012 or newer, and Exchange Server 2019, running on Server 2019. It also requires .NET Framework 4.5 and ASP.NET 4.5.
Send Encrypted Messages
Encrypt outbound messages for secure message transmission. To encrypt an outbound message:
- Log into Outlook or OWA, and select to create, forward, or reply to a message.
- Click the Barracuda Essentials logo to open the Actions panel.
- OWA – Click the Barracuda Essentials logo in the lower right of the new message
- Outlook – Click the Encrypt Message button in the Outlook ribbon.
- By default, Encryption is off. Click to toggle Encryption to on. The encryption attachment is added to the message:
