Internet- The Browser
This simplified freeware browser offers nothing over Internet Explorer or Firefox. Internet-The Browser is based on the IE engine. It disables add-ons, configuring buttons, and other customizations. It does offer a tab to set Internet options, control Favorites, and open the Address book. Another option will block pop-ups.
Operating this program is just like any other browser. You enter a URL and press return to call up the page. However, on our test machines, the address bar font was set as cursive with no way to change it. You can call up the Favorites list, send an e-mail, and print a page with the three standard IE buttons. Back, Forward, Refresh, Stop, and Home buttons are also present. However, you can’t change the toolbar look or add, delete, or move any buttons.
This might be a useful browser for novice users who are easily confused by the normal number of functions. However, most users will find Internet-The Browser too limited to be of much use.
