Designed to provide all-in-one access to Internet radio stations around the globe, this browser add-on doesn’t quite deliver on all its promises.
Internet Radio installs easily and offers a sleek, nicely designed interface. Its drop-down list of countries allows you to avoid searching and navigating the Web to locate radio stations; the features built into the interface make locating a station simple.
However, although the installation process is supposed to add a button to your browser toolbar, no such button appeared during our tests. Nor was the app added to our Start menu. Instead, we had to use Windows Explorer to locate the app’s executable and launch it manually. Further, once we minimized the app to our taskbar, we couldn’t restore it or shut it off without simply uninstalling the app.
Although Internet Radio is free, users will find other, more stable tools for accessing Web radio.
