CD’n’Go Suite
This free application provides a nice selection of audio tools, provided you don’t encounter the installation snags that occurred in some of our tests. CD’n’Go Suite’s interface is graphically pleasing and boasts a compact layout scheme. However, on some test machines, we had problems installing it when it failed to locate a necessary file. The program rips CDs into several popular formats–including WAV, MP3, and OGG–and retrieves track information from the Internet. In addition, you’ll find an ID3 tag editor, a CD-burning utility, and a tool for scheduling tasks. Best of all, this program costs nothing. If your jukebox of choice can’t already rip CDs or create audio discs, CD’n’Go Suite makes a mostly solid offering.
