3D Asteroids
Fans of the original Asteroids will find this 3D interpretation plenty enjoyable, though the uninitiated may wonder what all the fuss is about. A gloomy ambience reigns in this game where you, lost in space, face hordes of asteroids and a smattering of interloping alien ships. Fortunately, the laws of physics are defied here, and you can hear the asteroids coming toward your ship and from which direction they’re coming. The controls take a while to master, but you can assign new keys to give yourself a leg up. 3D Asteroids even allows saving profiles of control keys for several players. The gameplay becomes a bit monotonous, but whoever said war was a variety show? We especially recommend the game for folks who haven’t forgotten the old good Asteroids.
